Currently, she is the Minority, Women, Small Business Administration Coordinator for the Charleston County Aviation Authority, where she is responsible for building relationships and partnerships with minority, women-owned, small businesses, non-profits, private, governmental and educational institutions.  In the past she served as the Director of Human Resources at the Aviation Authority for 17 years.  Her responsibilities included recruiting, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, organization development, compensation, benefits, wellness and worker’s compensation. Ms. McGhee is also the President of SLMM Enterprises, LLC where she helps small businesses with their human resources needs.

Ms. McGhee holds a BS in Business Administration-Management from Coastal Carolina University and a MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. She is ABD for her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology-Business Administration at Northcentral University. She holds the designation of PHR from HRCI and SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Ms. McGhee is a graduate of Furman University’s Diversity Leadership Initiative, a graduate of The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charleston program and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina. She is also a board member for the Lowcountry Housing and Economic Development Board. And is a founding member of the South Carolina Airports Coalition. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, The American Association of Airport Executives and a member of The Center for Women. She is also a member of The Historic Charleston Rotary, The Net International Community Development Corporation Board of Directors and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.She also served as an Honorary Commander with the 315th Maintenance Squadron on Charleston Air Force Base and served on the Board of Directors for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce-Education Foundation and as a board member of the Cannon Street YMCA.  Ms. McGhee served on the Airports Council International of North America Steering Committee.
